Friday night was one to remember.

At this year’s North East Automotive Alliance awards, we were incredibly proud to be shortlisted in two categories. To leave the evening as winners of both the SME and Innovation awards made the occasion even more special.

These awards recognise the companies and people helping to drive the automotive sector forward across the region. Being acknowledged in both categories reflects the work, creativity and dedication of the team behind everything we do.

More Than Just an Award

One of the most meaningful aspects of the NEAA awards is that every winning company is given the opportunity to direct a £1,000 donation to a school of their choice.

This year, we were proud to support two fantastic schools: Portobello School and Red Rose Primary School. The funding will help both schools continue developing their STEM education programmes, giving students the chance to explore science, technology, engineering and maths in engaging and practical ways.

Supporting the next generation of engineers, innovators and problem solvers is something we believe strongly in, so being able to contribute directly to that journey makes the awards even more meaningful.

A Moment That Made the Night

One of the standout moments of the evening came when Connor from Portobello School joined Pete on stage to collect the award.

Connor spoke brilliantly about the difference this support will make for the school and its students. Hearing first-hand how initiatives like this help inspire young people is a powerful reminder of why partnerships between industry and education matter.

Moments like that are what the night is really about.

Celebrating With Great People

The evening was also a great opportunity to celebrate alongside colleagues, friends and

partners who are equally passionate about making a positive impact.

It was fantastic to share the experience with friends from the Bradley Lowery Foundation as well as the brilliant teachers from Portobello School’s PPS STEM team, whose dedication to inspiring students is clear to see.

Looking Ahead

Events like the NEAA awards highlight the strength of the North East’s automotive and manufacturing community. They bring together businesses, educators and organisations who are all working towards a shared goal of innovation, growth and opportunity.

A huge thank you goes to everyone involved in organising such a fantastic event, and congratulations to all the other finalists and winners who continue to push the industry forward.

For us, it was a night to celebrate progress, partnerships and the importance of investing in the next generation. 🎉
